Python Job: Software Developer (Rover)

INTRODUCTION

We’re looking for an independent, talented and enthusiastic person to join our team in Victoria, Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary, Saskatoon, Winnipeg or Toronto! As a Software Developer you’ll work in sprints to build, optimize and maintain the Rover application. Reporting to the Product Manager, this is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a new ad-tech product in a fast-growing industry.

Hybrid Work

LoKnow uses a hybrid model, where you are able to work from home, the office, or a combination of both in cities where LoKnow has offices. We actively encourage our team to be empowered and autonomous when choosing a work environment conducive to their own individual performance. All employees must be located in a city with a LoKnow office. All training will be hosted virtually.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Responsibilities

• Designs software features and improvements independently and in collaboration with the team

• Translates technical requirements into elegant code solutions and provide documentation

• Writes functional, maintainable, and scalable code according to industry best practices

• Maintains and updates back-end website architecture and design user interactions

• Diagnoses software defects in development and production environments and deploys sound fixes

• Supports development by staying up to date with the latest industry and technology trends

Qualifications

Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications, but for the right candidate, we are willing to develop an oversight plan to help you build upon your existing skills.

• 1-3 years of software development experience, focused on Web application using Python (Django, Flask)

• Degree or diploma in computer science or software engineering/development

• Understanding of software design principles and patterns

• Proficiency with APIs (REST, SOAP), and Git is required

• Experience with Cloud (AWS), Docker, and DevOps is an asset

Compensation

• Compensation ranging from $55,000 – $80,000
